Ramos Sacked, Redknapp Takes Over, and Spurs Win
Just your average weekend as a Tottenham Hotspur supporter. The manager, his assistant and the sporting director all get fired - and replaced - overnight, and the team then turn around and pick up their first Premiership win of the season.
Late on Saturday night Juande Ramos - approaching his 1-year anniversary at the club - was sacked by chairman Daniel Levy. It had become almost inevitable after the club’s poor start to the campaign, and the fan’s increasing frustration at team selection and tactics - along with the role of Damien Comolli as sporting director. October 20, 2008 by CLDsport · Leave a Comment

Bentley To Sign For Spurs
July 30, 2008 by CLDsport · Leave a Comment
As reported here, David Bentley looks set to sign for Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £18million. Reports suggest that the former Arsenal man could be a Spurs player by the weekend, following a medical on Wednesday.
Spurs have been interested in Bentley for some time now, and no doubt the sale of Robbie Keane to Liverpool has allowed the North London club to reach an agreement with Blackburn. Spurs fans will be happy to see Bentley arrive, after the disappointment of seeing Keane leave.
Blackburn manager Paul Ince did not want to let Bentley leave, but the 23-year-old made it clear he wanted out, stating European football as his motivation.
The winger has been at Blackburn since 2006, and has scored 13 goals in 102 appearances in that time, as well as winning 6 England caps.

Keane passed a medical at Anfield on Monday, before putting pen to paper on a 4-year deal reportedly worth £80,000 a week.
Tottenham have also agreed not to pursue their official complaint to the Premier League in relation to Liverpool’s pursuit of the player. Liverpool have apologised, and agreed to make a donation to the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy has revealed that Keane’s transfer was an ‘enforced’ deal with Liverpool’s illegal approach to the player, along with a transfer request from Keane himself.
Levy said on the club’s official website:
