No more drinking! We are slacking already?! Unbelievable! Ah well, we’re back this week, and have lots to discuss so lets get straight into it. Read more
Adebayor Deal Back On?
July 12, 2008
It’s becoming increasingly hard to predict the transfer activity this summer. With Cristiano Ronaldo’s future still in the balance, along with Lampard (a target for Inter Milan), and Alexander Hleb. It’s Hleb’s Arsenal team mate Emanuel Adebayor that now looks most likely to be on his way out, after the club - reportedly - lowered their asking price.

Dos Santos Completes Tottenham Transfer
June 10, 2008
Giovani Dos Santos has completed his £4.7million move from Barcelona to White Hart Lane after passing a medical, and agreeing personal terms with the north London club.
The 19-year-old has been capped 5 times for Mexico, after impressing at under-17 and under-20 level. Last season the forward appeared 28 times for the Barcelona first-team, scoring 3 goals in the process.
Will Dos Santos be a good signing for Spurs?
On the club website, Dos Santos said:
“It is a dream for me to come to a big club like Spurs. I’ve come here to further explore my qualities and give my all for my new team. As a young player I have come to a club where I feel there are many opportunities for me.
“I have been made to feel very welcome since arriving at Spurs and everyone has been very friendly. This is clearly a big club with a lot of ambition, and I can see it growing in the future.
“It is great to see Spurs fans wearing the shirt on the streets of London. I came here because of the passion of the fans as well as the size of the club, and I’m very much looking forward to playing in England.”
Carlos Vela of Arsenal, and national team-mate of Dos Santos, has ensured that the North London rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal remains intact by stating that his compatriot is too good to stay at Tottenham, and the move is simply a ’stepping stone’ in his career (i.e. moving to a bigger club).
Personally I’m a Spurs fan, and have no animosity towards Arsenal (although I love it when we beat them of course!), and these comments anger me. Spurs ARE a big club, but we have underachieved in recent times. Yes, there are better clubs out there, but we are moving in the right direction, and Dos Santos is going to be a big part of that - along with £16.5million signing Luca Modric.
Who says I have to stay neutral? To hell with that!
