So, Fernando Alonso was the winner of the inaugural night race around the streetsĀ of Singapore earlier today, with Lewis Hamilton finishing third.
Ferrari had a bad day at the office, with Felipe Massa being given the green light to leave the pits before the fuel hose had been detached while comfortably leading Hamilton at the front of the pack.
The delay cost Massa the race, and finished 13th with no Championship points. Hamilton moves 7 points clear with just 3 races remaining.
Here is the video of the incident that ruined Massa’s race.
It’s been a couple of days since I posted the last video, so apologies for that. It’s a motorsport video for you today, featuring our very own Lewis Hamilton before his McLaren F1 days.
Lewis Hamilton goes three wide into Becketts in the GP2 race at Silverstone to leapfrog two places up to second. This video proves - if there was ever any doubt - that Hamilton is a hell of a driver!
Another Formula 1 video for you. I’ve always thought that ITV should show more ‘on board’ action, as this is the best camera view for truly admiring what these guys put themselves through - and how talented they are.
So, here is a 5 minute video from this years Belgian Grand Prix, and ALL the action is taken from on-board camera’s. Some of the speed seen along the straight is simply mindblowing.
This was - of course - the race where McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton was stripped of a dramatic victory after stewards handed him a 25-second post-race penalty. Let’s hope this ridiculous decision doesn’t prevent Lewis from taking the championship.
Just four races separate the Englishman from his first title win - in only his second season.
September 28th - Singapore
October 12th - Japan
October 19th - China
November 2nd - Brazil
Just a few races separates Lewis Hamilton from the 2008 Formula 1 Driver’s Championship. Will he do it? Or will Massa take the spoils? Opinions please…..
Meanwhile, here is a great compilation of some of the ‘best’ crashes in Formula 1.
