Cole Doubt For Chelsea

Ashley Cole is a concern for Chelsea following a rash challenge by team-mate Claude Makelele while training on the Luzhniki Stadium pitch. Video of the incident can be found at the bottom of this article…..

Cole suffered a knock on the ankle and received immediate treatment on the side of the pitch before sitting on the sidelines to watch the rest of the squad being put through their paces.

Chelsea Logo Witnesses say that there was considerable strapping put on the injured ankle - and Cole did not look a happy chap. The former Arsenal left-back did return to the training session, but could not move freely and was forced to make an early exit from the session.

Sky Sports reports that Ashley Cole is now a major doubt for the final, and CLDsport can’t help feeling that Makelele must take some of the blame. A training session is not a place for reckless challenges - especially with such an important match only 24 hours away.
