Samir Nasri Signs For Arsenal

Reports on the players website - which now seems to be unavailable - suggest that Nasri has completed his £15.8million transfer to Arsenal, from Marseille.

Nasri has been linked to Arsenal since the end of the season, and it now appears that the 20-year-old has made the move. As yet there are no reports on the Arsenal website.

The French international has been at his current club, Marseille, since the age of 9 and has scored 11 goals in 121 appearances for his home town. Nasri signed a three year extension to his current contract just last month.

The attacking midfielder, who can play on either wing, has appeared at various levels internationally, including scoring the winning goal in the UEFA Under-17 Championships against Spain in 2004.

Nasri has played a little under 30 minutes in Euro 2008, so has had little time to show his worth. In 2006/7 season he was voted Marseille’s player of the year by the fans.

It’s thought that the youngster has signed a 4-year contract with the Gunners.
