Kaka To Join Chelsea In £78million Deal

Reports today suggest that Brazilian star Kaka is set to join Chelsea from AC Milan in a world record £78million deal.

The reports follow on from Sunday’s report in The Observer that Kaka believes he could be a Chelsea player by the end of August.

The Milan midfielder has been at the club since 2003, when he was signed from Saõ Paulo for a $8.5million fee - later described as ‘peanuts’ by club owner Silvio Berlusconi.

The 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year winner has scored 109 times in 309 professional club appearances. If the 26-year-old Brazilian moves to Stamford Bridge, it will surely result in the end of Chelsea’s pursuit of Real Madrid’s Robinho.
