Alex Ferguson Wins Manager of the Year Award
Fabio Capello has presented Sir Alex Ferguson with the League Manager’s Association (LMA) Manager of the Year award.
Ferguson wins the award after guiding Manchester United to there 10th Premier League title in 16 seasons. Ferguson has been in charge at United for a stunning 22 years - proof that stability is a huge part of a clubs success. Man City take note! Sorry, we keep going on about it, but Eriksson really should not be sacked! It’s an awful decision from a man that knows NOTHING about football!
Ferguson said of his award:
“It is a tremendous honour that my fellow managers should deem me worthy of this award, I’m very proud to receive it.”
Tony Mowbray, who guided West Brom to the Championship title (and Premier League status next season) wins the Championship Manager of the Year.
The League One award goes to Swansea manager Roberto Martinez and Graham Turner takes the League Two equivalent after winning a second successive promotion for Hereford.
